The Happy Man Foundation has successfully distributed 1,000 mathematical sets to final-year Junior High School students in the Bolgatanga Municipal and Bolga East Districts of the Upper East Region, as part of its “Operation 1000 Mathematical Sets” initiative.
The exercise, carried out on April 30, 2026, in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service Bolgatanga Municipal Office, aimed at supporting candidates preparing for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
According to the Foundation, the initiative was designed to address the challenge many students face in accessing essential examination materials, particularly mathematical sets, which are critical for Mathematics and Science papers.

A total of 19 public Junior High Schools benefited from the intervention, including Kalbeo Tindonsobligo JHS, Ayuusi-Yine JHS, SDA JHS, Aningazanga JHS, Adabase JHS, Bolga Experimental JHS, Abilba No. 1 JHS, Anglican JHS, St. John’s Catholic JHS, Preparatory JHS, Zaare English/Arabic JHS, Akantome JHS, Azorebisi JHS, Gambibgo JHS, Yarigabiisi JHS, Dulugu JHS, Presby JHS, Kumbosigo JHS, and Tahiriya JHS.
With support from the GES Municipal Exams Officer and school authorities, the Foundation’s team visited each school to distribute the items directly to students. The exercise was complemented with brief motivational sessions, encouraging candidates to stay focused and make effective use of the materials provided.

The Foundation noted that beyond easing the financial burden on parents, the donation is expected to boost students’ confidence and improve performance in key subjects.
The “Operation 1000 Mathematical Sets” forms part of the Foundation’s broader commitment to promoting quality education and youth development across the country.
